BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team will begin a three-game home stand as it welcomes Alfred State to the KOA Arena Wednesday for a non-conference matchup.
Pitt-Bradford is coming off a tough 103-65 defeat at La Roche Saturday. The Panthers hung with the Redhawks in the first half and were down just nine points at the break, but a strong second half pushed La Roche to the convincing win.
Christian Kelly-Perkins led the Panthers with 23 points.
Desmond Brogsdale scored 11 and grabbed nine rebounds while Dylan Niedermeyer chipped in 10 points.
Brogsdale continues to lead the Panthers in scoring with 12.8 points per game. Kelly-Perkins is close behind at 11.8 points per game.
Niedermeyer is the third Panther scoring in double-figures at 10.1 points per game. He is also the team's leading rebounder with 6.8 boards per game.
As a team, the Panthers grab 7.5 steals per game, which is the third-most in the conference. Sahlil Harris leads the team with 2.1 per game, which is fourth-best in the AMCC.
Reggie Rogers also remains one of the top distributors in the conference with 3.7 assists per game, the fifth-best mark in the AMCC.
Wednesday's game is set for a 5 p.m. tip-off and will be the final non-conference matchup of the season for the Panthers.
After Wednesday's home game, Pitt-Bradford will host two more consecutive games at the KOA Arena on Saturday, Jan. 27, against Franciscan, and Wednesday, Jan. 31, against D'Youville.
The Pitt-Bradford Department of Athletics and Alpha Phi Omega chapter will host the "Teal There's a Cure" campaign on during the Jan. 27 basketball doubleheader.
