BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team will play its second-straight road game as it travels to La Roche Saturday for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchup.

Saturday's game will be the second meeting between the two teams as they first met on Dec. 2 at the KOA Arena. La Roche came out on top, 84-67. Desmond Brogsdale led the Panthers with 23 points while Dylan Mitchell scored 11. Dylan Niedermeyer also scored in double-figures with 10 points.

The Panthers are coming off an impressive performance at Hilbert Wednesday, in which they went down to the wire with one of the top teams in the AMCC. The Hawks, now 8-2 in conference play and a half-game out of first place in the AMCC, earned the 78-73 win.

Mitchell put together his best scoring performance of the season with 21 points to lead all scorers.

Christian Kelly-Perkins scored 17 points while Niedermeyer dropped 15 to also score in double-figures.

Mitchell was on fire in the first half, scoring 19 points on 6-8 shooting and 1-1 from long range to lead the Panthers. 

The Panthers turned it on in the second half, though, as Kelly-Perkins and Niedermeyer scored 15 apiece in the half.

Hilbert eventually extended its lead to 52-34 at the 15:56 mark, but Jeffrey Fry brought the Panthers back a bit with a three-ball and a free throw.

Later on, Niedermeyer really caught fire and scored nine-straight points for the Panthers and brought the deficit to seven, 57-50, with just over nine minutes to play in regulation.

Kelly-Perkins then took on the scoring as he scored 10-straight points for the Panthers, knocking down three-pointers on back-to-back possessions and connecting on two more buckets to bring Pitt-Bradford within one, 67-66, with 2:37 left to play.

On the season, Brogsdale leads the team in scoring average with 12.9 points per game. Kelly-Perkins (10.9) and Niedermeyer (10.1) also average in double-figures.

With 7.0 boards per game, Niedermeyer is the sixth-best rebounder in the AMCC.

Reggie Rogers averages 3.7 assists, which ranks him as the fifth-best distributer in the conference. His 59 total dimes are the fourth most.

Saturday's game at La Roche will begin at 2 p.m. as the first game of a doubleheader with the women's game coming after.
