BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team will wrap up its five-game road trip as it travels to D'Youville Monday for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchup.
Pitt-Bradford is most recently coming off a tough defeat on the road at the top team in the conference, Penn State-Behrend, 74-49.
Desmond Brogsdale had his best shooting game of the season, against Behrend, who had the second-best scoring defense in the country going into Saturday's game. Brogadale went 8-9 from the field for a team-best 17 points.
Colby Mills knocked down a pair of three-pointers and scored eight total points. Dylan Niedermeyer also scored eight points on three field goals and a pair of free throws.
At 15.8 points per game, Brogsdale is the team's leading scorer and ranks fourth in the conference in scoring average. He has scored in double-figures in seven of his eight games played, six times scoring more than 15 points with a high of 23 points (Dec. 2 vs. La Roche).
Niedermeyer remains one of the top rebounders in the conference at 7.1 boards per game.
Pitt-Bradford grabs the third-most steals per game in the conference at 8.1. The team leader is Sahlil Harris with 27 total (2.3 per game) which ranks him fourth in the AMCC.
Monday's game will begin at 6 p.m., the first game of a double-header with the women's team playing after.
About D'Youville:
- The D'Youville Spartans welcome the Panthers with a 3-6 overall record and a 1-3 mark in AMCC games, picking up their first conference win in their most recent game against Franciscan on Saturday.
- The Spartans have the third-best scoring offense in the conference, averaging 79.3 points per contest. Against AMCC opponents, though, they average just 66.0 points per game.
- Three Spartans average in double-figures: Juan Miguel Rosales (12.3 points per game), Simeon Heard (11.4 points per game) and Jeremy VanDuluitgaarden (11.3 points per game).
- Rosales ranks third in the AMCC in shot percentage as he shoots 60 percent from the floor.
