Pitt-Bradford men's basketball player Evan Greening was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

It highlights a record-setting week for the senior forward and represents the third time this season he has received the league's weekly honor.

Against Penn State Altoona last week, Greening broke the AMCC record for total rebounds in a season (328) held by former Panther Matt Beacom (2002-03). Greening finished the regular season with 349 rebounds and has a chance to add to that total Wednesday versus La Roche in the first-round of the conference tournament. For the game, he scored 26 points, going 10-15 from the field and 6-8 from the line, and reeled in 14 rebounds.

On Senior Day Saturday, the Fredericksburg, Va., native registered 23 points and 17 rebounds in a blowout win over Pitt-Greensburg. It marked the 10th time this season he has logged 17 or more rebounds and was his 20th double-double of the year. He finished the week shooting 65 percent from the field (20-31) and 75 percent from the stripe (9-12).

Greening, who has been named the AMCC Player of the Week seven times in his career, and the Panthers will square off with the Redhawks Wednesday in Pittsburgh at 7 p.m.
