BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford baseball team will end its Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference regular season slate on the road as it travels to La Roche Saturday before Medaille Monday.
Pitt-Bradford enters the final weekend of the regular season with a 14-12 overall record and a 7-7 AMCC mark, which keeps the Panthers in the mix for a conference playoff berth.
Prior to the start of final exam week, Pitt-Bradford suffered tough sweep at Penn State-Behrend, capped by a 12-inning defeat in game two.
Austin Parent, Jake McNabb and Matt Hair homered for the Panthers.
Hair has emerged as the Panthers' top hitter, leading the team with a .344 batting average and 18 RBIs.
Parent, McNabb and Tyler Hoops have 14 RBIs apiece. Hoops leads the team with 22 runs scored.
Parent's .536 on-base percentage and 29 walks lead the AMCC.
La Roche enters the weekend with the top record in the AMCC at 14-2, most recently sweeping second-place Penn State-Behrend on Thursday.
The Redhawks own the top hitter in the AMCC in Joe Professori, who is hitting .420 while driving in the second-most runs in the conference with 41 RBIs. He also leads the conference with nine homers.
As a team, La Roche leads the conference hitting .332 as a unit with a .500 slugging percentage. The Redhawks' pitching staff leads the AMCC with 127 strikeouts and 9.07 strikeouts per nine innings during conference play.
Medaille has a 2-12 AMCC record heading into the final weekend of the regular season.
Dominick Teoli is second in the conference with a .407 batting average -- one of only two players in the AMCC hitting above .400.
Christian Crowe and Shawn Filas are tied for the team lead with 16 RBIs apiece.
Saturday's doubleheader at La Roche will start at 2 p.m. while Monday's action is slated for a 1 p.m. start.
Pitt-Bradford will end its regular season Tuesday hosting Wilson for a non-conference doubleheader at the Kessel Athletic Complex
