Panthers Head To Medaille For Doubleheader Sunday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford baseball team will play its second straight Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference road doubleheader Sunday, traveling to Medaille to face the Mavericks.

The games were originally scheduled for Saturday but were pushed back due to incoming rain.

Pitt-Bradford (14-12, 7-7 AMCC) is coming out a tough sweep at Penn State-Behrend, capped by a 12-inning defeat in game two.

Austin Parent, Jake McNabb and Matt Hair homered for the Panthers.

Hair has emerged as the Panthers' top hitter, leading the team with a .344 batting average and 18 RBIs.

Parent, McNabb and Tyler Hoops have 14 RBIs apiece. Hoops leads the team with 22 runs scored.

With a .536 on-base percentage, Parent leads the AMCC.

Medaille welcomes the Panthers with a 6-16 overall record and a 2-12 mark in AMCC action.

Dominick Teoli owns the second-highest batting average in the AMCC at .378. He is hitting .417 in conference play.

Shawn Filas leads the squad with 15 RBIs, eight doubles and two homers.

On the mound, Peter Grunzweig has a 4-3 record in seven starts with a 3.00 ERA in 42 innings pitched.

First pitch Sunday remains 1 p.m. with game two coming around 3:30 p.m.
