Pitt-Bradford Baseball To Wrap Up Homestand Hosting Pitt-Greensburg Saturday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford baseball team will wrap up its six-game homestand hosting Pitt-Greensburg for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference doubleheader Saturday at the Kessel Athletics Complex.

Pitt-Bradford (13-9, 6-4 AMCC) is tied for the longest active winning streak in the conference having won four straight after back-to-back sweeps of D'Youville (April 6) and Hilbert (April 10). The Panthers have also won five of their last six games.

During Wednesday's doubleheader sweep of Hilbert, Justin Dattoli knocked an eighth-inning pinch-hit single to center to score Jake McNabb for the win in game one.

Then in game two, Tyler Aires clubbed his first career homer to left to spark the Panthers' late-game rally.

Matt Hair has hit safely in five-straight games and has boosted his conference batting average to .440 with 12 RBIs.

Austin Parent leads the AMCC with a .527 on-base percentage overall while Kevin Rehak's nine doubles are tied for second in the conference.

Pitt-Greensburg enters the weekend with an 8-14 overall record and a 5-3 mark in conference play, which is good for fourth in the conference.

Ben Green's five homers are tied for the second-highest total in the conference while Chris Common's 22 RBIs rank in the AMCC's top 10.

On the mound, Dakota McWilliams earned the AMCC's Pitcher of the Week nod and also a spot on the D3Baseball Team of the week as he tossed four no-hit innings of relief while striking out three last week.

Given how close the Panthers and Bobcats are in the conference standings, the AMCC has dubbed it its Game of the Week.

Action Saturday is set for a 1 p.m. start with game two starting around 3:30 p.m.
