AURORA, N.Y. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford baseball team completed the sweep in its season-opening series at Wells with a 14-2 win Sunday.

"Saw some more good things today from the guys," Head Coach Zach Foster said. "We are starting to have some better approaches at the plate and taking advantage in more meaningful counts. AP swung the bat better today and our arms threw well. Good to see. Now it's time to get back to work and prepare for next weekend. Very proud of the boys."

Sunday's nine-inning win comes after Panther victories in both contests Saturday. Pitt-Bradford is 3-0 to start the season.

Austin Parent homered and doubled twice while knocking in five runs to lead the Panther offense.

On the mound, Logan Edmonds earned his first career victory as he delivered five scoreless innings of relief, walking none and striking out three.

Samuel Dreistadt, Kevin Rehak, Tyler Hoops and Sawyer Packard ripped a pair of hits apiece.

Rehak doubled twice while Hoops and Dreistadt drove in a pair of runs apiece.

Up 1-0, Pitt-Bradford broke the game open with a seven-spot in the top of the third inning.

A two-run double from Dreistadt highlighted the frame.

In the fifth, Hoops and Parent each delivered two-run doubles to make up the four-run inning and put the Panthers ahead 12-2.

Two more runs in the eighth rounded out the scoring for Pitt-Bradford as Parent homered to center and Sam Gwiazdinski scored Jake McNabb on an infield grounder.

Noah McMullen started for the Panthers and went four innings surrendering two runs and striking out one.

Jason Lucarelli also recorded an RBI for Pitt-Bradford on a sacrifice fly.

As a team, Pitt-Bradford dropped in 14 hits.

The Panther defense left 10 Wells runners stranded on base.

Pitt-Bradford will be in action next with three games in Dayton, Ohio, next weekend. The Panthers will play a single game against Carleton Friday and Saturday followed by a twin bill against Carleton and Olivet Sunday.
