BRADFORD, Pa. - Pitt-Bradford baseball player Tyler Hoops reeled in another national award Friday, capturing the Herosports.com DIII Offensive HERO of the Week fan vote.

Hoops was nominated for his three-hit performance in game one of the team's AMCC opening-round series versus Penn State Altoona on Sunday. The Mendham, New Jersey, native grabbed 66 percent of the votes, nearly 41 percent more than the runner-up.

Hoops, who was named the AMCC Player of the Week and appeared on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week, powered the Panthers to an 18-3 victory against the Lions with a RBI single and his first career home run, a two-run blast. He walked and also scored four runs. The freshman shortstop connected for a three-run shot in game two and hit .384 in 13 at bats in the series.
