BRADFORD, Pa. – University of Pittsburgh at Bradford right-hander, Ryan Northcott, was named this week's Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference pitcher of the week, following a dominant performance on the mound against Penn College last week.

The Coatesville, Pa. native fired four strong innings, striking out six and allowing just three hits to lead the Panthers to a 3-0 victory over the Wildcats in the first game of a doubleheader at Bowman Field on Saturday afternoon.

With the win, Northcott improves to 1-3 on the year and lowered his ERA to 4.15 on the season. He hasn't allowed more than three runs in a start with the exception of a tough loss to Salem State in Fort Myers, Fla., a team that made an appearance in an NCAA regional last season. Northcott currently leads the pitching staff with 20 strikeouts.

Northcott and the Panthers open AMCC play Wednesday afternoon with a doubleheader against Medaille, beginning at noon. The game will be played at Houghton College and first pitch is slated for noon.
