Outdoor Club

Because our campus is located in Bradford, a welcoming and friendly town of about 11,000 people in northwestern Pennsylvania, we have the unique opportunity to be able to offer a wide variety of outdoor activities. That's why you need to join our Outdoor Club.

Take just a couple of steps off  campus and you can hike, bike, hunt, fish, canoe, ride horses, etc. The Outdoor Club traditionally hosts a variety of activites every year such as:

  • Horseback riding
  • Rafting
  • Kayaking
  • Hiking
  • Rock climbing
  • Rappelling
  • Caving
  • Mountain biking

In addition to the traditional activities, we are always looking for suggestions from students for other activities that you are interested in. Just stop by or send us an e-mail with your suggestion.

The Outdoor Club is open to any students, faculty or friends who are interested in taking part in our trips. Most trips are free; however, a few trips will cost money. If you are a Pitt student or faculty or staff member,  you may get a discount. However, any non-Pitt people who come along would have to pay full price.

Outdoor Club events usually take place on the weekends but are not restricted to weekends. The majority of the Outdoor Club events take a few hours at minimum so these events are scheduled for weekends. However, trips can be planned for weeknights or even weekdays if there is enough interest.

If you are interested in a trip, contact us at 814-362-7526.
