Carson Named AMCC Athlete of the Week

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford volleyball player Stephanie Carson was recognized by the AMCC on Monday as she was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week.

Carson picked up 105 digs for Pitt-Bradford as the Panthers went 2-3 on the week. She also added four kills, eight assists, and six service aces. On day two of the Ginny Hunt Kilt Classic, hosted by Wooster, Carson picked up 34 digs in a loss to Westminster, and 24 more in the Panther's four-set victory over Capital.

This is the second time Carson has won this award in her career. She previously won it on September, 13th of last season.

The Panthers have played some tough competition to start their season and currently have a 3-10 record. They will return to action in KOA Arena on Saturday, September 24th, when they take on Fredonia and Wells in a home tri-match. The action begins at 11:00 a.m.
