Maslowski, Rider Named AMCC Athletes of the Week

Bradford, Pa. -- University of Pittsburgh at Bradford student-athletes Kayla Maslowski and Chase Rider were named AMCC Athletes of the Week on Monday in recognition of their performances during last week's competition.

Maslowski was named Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week. It is the first time the freshman has won the award. The libero collected 28 digs in two three-set victories for the Panthers last week. She had 16 in the midweek win over Medaille, and 12 more against Pitt-Greensburg. She also had two assists and three service aces against Pitt-Greensburg.

Rider won Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the week for the third time this season. He was been named player of the week in 3 of the last 4 weeks, and also gained national recognition as he was also named United Soccer Coaches Offensive Player of the Week on October 20th. Rider added three more goals to his AMCC leading total in a 1-1 week for the Panthers. Rider scored one goal in the 4-2 loss at Medaille, and added two more, including the game-winner, against Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday. Rider took five shots on the week and put four of them on target.

The Pitt-Bradford Volleyball team is currently 17-5 with a 5-2 record in AMCC play. They will travel to Fredonia for a non-conference match-up on Tuesday, before playing Alfred State in a matchup that will play a large role in post-season seeding.

The men's soccer team has completed its regular-season schedule with a 7-7-1 record with a 5-3 record in AMCC play. They have secured the 4th seed in the post-season AMCC Tournament and will host a playoff game over the weekend.
