86 Pitt-Bradford Student-Athletes Earn AMCC All-Academic Honors

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford has 86 student-athletes named to the 2017-18 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Academic Team, officials announced Wednesday.

Across the conference, 906 student-athletes achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher as of the Fall 2017 semester, earning the distinction of being named academic all-conference.

Sixty percent (539) of those individuals were tabbed Individual Peak Performers by earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher.  A special subset of those student-athletes were also selected for induction to Chi Alpha Sigma, the National Collegiate Student-Athlete Honor Society, which recognizes both academic performance, leadership and character for selected juniors and seniors.

For Pitt-Bradford, 55 of the 86 AMCC All-Academic student-athletes were honored as 2017-18 Peak Performers (GPA of 3.5 or higher), while 29 juniors and seniors are honored to Chi Alpha Sigma National Collegiate Student-Athlete Honor Society.

D'Youville College received the AMCC Institutional Peak Performer, an honor bestowed annually on the AMCC member with the highest percentage of student-athletes named to the Academic All-Conference Team.

The AMCC released the All-Academic Team and Institutional Peak Performer as part of its celebration of Division III Week, which runs from April 2-8.
