BRADFORD, Pa. -- Senior Liz Dzurisin of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team has been named a Pitt-Bradford Athlete of the Week for her performance during the period of April 29 - May 4.
Dzurisin had a strong final week of the season, producing much of Panthers' offense during the AMCC Tournament.
She helped Pitt-Bradford advance to in the AMCC Tournament with a pair of RBI singles against Penn State-Altoona Friday, eventually leading the team to a 6-0 win.
She also added a hit against eventual AMCC Champion Mount Aloysius.
Dzurisin helped the Panthers to a win in their final AMCC regular season action as well, knocking a two-run single early in game two at Pitt-Greensburg that would eventually hold up as the Panthers' only runs in a 2-1 season finale victory.
