BRADFORD, Pa. -- Freshman pitcher Reid Tarnowski of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford baseball team has been named a Pitt-Bradford Athlete of the Week for his performance during the period of March 25-31.
Tarnowski tossed 5.1 innings allowing seven hits and one earned run while scattering six strikeouts to defeat Alfred State and pick up the Panthers' first AMCC win of the season.
The victory is also Tarnowski's first career AMCC victory on the mound for the Panthers.
In the win, he threw 99 pitches and 60 of them for strikes.
On the season, Tarnowski is 2-1 with a 2.81 ERA and 14 strikeouts.
