BRADFORD, Pa. -- Senior infielder Maddy Hillery of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team has been named a Pitt-Bradford Athlete of the Week for her performance during the period of March 25-31.
Hillery erupted for a 7-for-12 performance (.583) in four games at the plate with three extra-base hits -- a pair of doubles and her first career home run.
She drove in three runs and scored four while working a .615 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage.
Her homer and a double came in the conference series against AMCC favorite Penn State-Behrend, and she hit .800, reached base at .833 and slugged 1.600 for the series.
She owns the longest active hitting streak on the team hitting safely in eight straight and the longest active on-base streak with nine straight games.
