BRADFORD, Pa. -- Freshman guard Latifah Cain of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team has been named a Pitt-Bradford Athlete of the Week for her performance during the period of Jan. 21-28.
Cain was the driving force in Pitt-Bradford's convincing road win against Pitt-Greensburg Saturday, keeping them in the upper echelon of the conference.
The freshman dropped a career-high 22 points in 35 minutes on 8-12 shooting and 1-1 from long range. Saturday, she also grabbed three boards, dished two assists and had a pair of steals.
In Wednesday's setback at Medaille, she played 32 minutes and scored 10 points while tossing three assists.
Pitt-Bradford is back in action Wednesday hosting Hilbert at the KOA Arena for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
