BRADFORD, Pa. -- Sophomore Kerrigan Hoffmann of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team has been named a Pitt-Bradford Athlete of the Week for per performance during the period of Feb. 25 - March 3.
Hoffmann got off to a strong start in the circle in 2019, dealing a complete-game victory in her first outing of the season and tossing a clean two innings of relief against the two-time defending national champion and No. 1 team in the country Virginia Wesleyan.
In her victory against Southern Virginia, she struck out five and surrendered two runs on six hits while walking just two.
And against Virginia Wesleyan, she tossed 2.2 innings and allowed just two hits and gave up no runs, keeping the Panthers in the game.
She was also named the AMCC Pitcher of the Week.
