BRADFORD, Pa. -- Sophomore Kelsey Hammons of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team has been named a Pitt-Bradford Athlete of the Week for her performance during the period of Feb. 25 - Match 3.
Hammons was the top performer for the Panthers this past weekend, guiding Pitt-Bradford to a 4-3 finish in the second AMCC Round Robin and securing a spot in the conference championship tournament.
Hammons put up the Panthers' team-high on Saturday with a lofty 198 during game four. She also rolled a 188 in the opening contest.
Pitt-Bradford finishes 7-7 in AMCC action as the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament.
Up next, Pitt-Bradford will compete in the AMCC Tournament in Beaver Falls, Pa., from March 22-24. It will be a double elimination tournament using the mega match format.
