BRADFORD, Pa. -- Junior left fielder Jason Lucarelli of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford baseball team has been named a Pitt-Bradford Athlete of the Week for his performance during the period of April 8-14.
Lucarelli started all four games for the Panthers this week, helping the team to a 3-1 record in doubleheaders against Hilbert and Pitt-Greensburg.
He dropped in five hits in 12 at-bats for a .417 batting average.
He had two hits in each of the second game of the doubleheaders.
His lone run scored of the week was a big one, as he slid in safely on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth for a walk-off win against Pitt-Greensburg.
He led off that inning with a single to start the Panther rally.
Additionally, he stole two bases, drove in a run and was perfect out in left field.
