BRADFORD, Pa. -- Senior Jacob Volz of the Pitt-Bradford men's tennis team has been named a Pitt-Bradford Athlete of the Week for his performance during the period of April 1-7.
In the team's lone action of the week, Volz picked up the victory in No. 1 singles against Thiel.
Volz topped his opponent via scores of 6-2, 6-3 to earn the win.
He also paired with Matt Dennis in the top doubles spot. The duo put together a competitive match but narrowly fell 8-3.
The Pitt-Bradford men's tennis team wraps up its 2018-19 season Friday hosting Mount Aloysius.
