BRADFORD, Pa. -- Sophomore shortstop Gabby Carpenter of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team has been named a Pitt-Bradford Athlete of the Week for her performance during the period of April 8-14.
Carpenter hit .471 with three multi-hit games and two three-hit games to power Pitt-Bradford to a 4-0 week.
As the Panther leadoff hitter, she scored five runs -- including all three of the team's runs in game two at Penn State-Altoona Saturday -- and drove in four runs.
She also had three triples and a double on the week, posting a .882 slugging percentage for the week.
Carpenter leads the AMCC with four triples in AMCC action.
Pitt-Bradford has won nine of its last 10 games.
